Q1. In how many Sessions will JEE (Main)-2021 be conducted?
Ans. JEE (Main)-2021 will be conducted in Four Sessions (February/ March/ April/ May).
Q2. What will be the advantages of Multiple Sessions in JEE (Main)-2021?
Ans. The advantages of Multiple Sessions in JEE (Main) – 2021 are as follows:
(a.) This will give multiple opportunities to the candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they fail to give their best in one attempt.
(b.) In the first attempt, the students will get a firsthand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the next time.
(c.) This will reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year.
(d.) If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as Board examination), then he/she will not have to wait for one full year.
(e.) A candidate need not appear in all four Sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one Session then his/her best of the 2021 NTA Scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.
Q3. When will the application window to apply for JEE (Main)-2021 be available?
Ans. The application window to apply for JEE (Main)- 2021 is available between 16.12.2020 (Wednesday) to 16.01.2021 (Saturday). The fees can be paid online up to 17.01.2021 (Sunday). The application window will be opened again for a brief period of 3-4 days after the announcement of the results of each session.
Q4. If any candidate did not apply for the February session, can he/she apply for the remaining session?
Ans. Yes, if any candidate did not apply for February Session, then he/she can apply for the remaining Sessions. The application window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result of the February / March/ April Session.
Q5. Whether NTA has changed the syllabus of JEE (Main)-2021?
Ans. No, the syllabus of JEE (Main) 2021 is the same as that of the last year. However, keeping in view the decision taken by different Boards all over India, NTA has decided that there will be a total of 90 Questions in the Question Paper and candidates will be required to attempt 75 questions only. There will be no negative marking for 15 optional questions.
Q6. What are the dates of the Examinations of JEE mains?
Ans. The JEE (Main) -2021 will be conducted in Four Sessions. The tentative date of examinations are as follows:
Session- 1: 23, 24, 25 & 26 February 2021
Session -2: 15, 16, 17 & 18 March 2021
Session -3: 27, 28, 29 & 30 April 2021
Session -4: 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28 May 2021
